ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Wireless and optical networks have emerged as the two most active cutting-edge topics in networking research
in the last years. The objective of this workshop is to publish state-of-the art research and development
activities in emerging research issues in these areas. We encourage submission of both theoretical and application-
oriented research papers that span - but are not limited to - the following topics:

-Next Generation Wireless and Mobile Networks.
-Ad-hoc and mesh networks.
-Terrestrial and underwater sensor networks.
-Topics on IEEE 802.11, 802.16, 802.20 and 802.22.
-Cognitive and Software-defined radio.
-Novel medium access, routing and transport layer algorithms.
-Novel applications of wireless networks.
-Optical LANs.
-Optical WANs.
-Wavelength Routing
-Optical Switching.
-PONs.
-Enabling Technologies.
-Performance evaluation studies.
